BEARER OF BAD NEWS is the twelfth book in the Nicki Sosebee series.  This series does need to be read in the order of release.
 
I need the author’s address.  She ripped out my heart and I’d like to mail it to her. (figuratively, of course)
 
When you get the news, you just want to wake up and find out it was just a nightmare.  Instead the nightmare is your new reality (and aren’t we all sick of that phrase these days).  Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance, … the five stages of grief are real.  You will need tissues for this book.  I recommend at least two boxes.
 
Nicki doesn’t just get angry.  She knows there is corruption.  She’s going for revenge!  However with the corruption so deep, she doesn’t know who to trust anymore.
 
I don’t remember Jade C. Jamison ever leaving me on cliffhanger before!  Thank GOD I have the next book already and can start immediately.

RE/BOUND is the first book in the Doms of the FBI series.  Each book in the Doms of the FBI series stands alone, though there is an arc that is built throughout the series.

This is one hawt, BDSM, romance with a touch of suspense.  

The BDSM and romance are perfectly described and lovingly crafted, including the Shibari knot-tying that Malcolm loved.  There is no doubt that Malcolm/Theo and Darcy are falling in love.  I loved his patience with her as he stretched her limits and encouraged her submission.

The suspense generally takes a back seat until the last chapter.  Though I don’t understand Victor’s motivations, I though the author did a good job of showing that a warped mind doesn’t think as logically as the rest of us.  His motives are part of what makes it hard to solve the crime.

HER WEREWOLF BODYGUARD is the first book in the Rise of the Arkansas Werewolves series.  These will need to be read in the order of release.

Both Ava and Damon have been orphaned.  The difference is that he was raised in an orphanage and didn’t know what he was until the day he first shifted.  She knows the names of her parents, but there are have been secrets kept from her as well.  The first one:  she is a werewolf who has never shifted.

I loved the way that the secrets were slowly brought out for each of them.  I loved Ava’s absolute strength;  she is no wilting flower – EVER!  

I wanted to smack Damon.  He had a bit of the “woe is me” complex for being so low in the hierarchy of the wolves.  He has alpha tendencies, but he has to curb them due to his position in the pack.  This is repeated, verbally or mentally, ad nauseum.  Thank God that ends some point!

Overall, I enjoyed the story and I look forward to reading more of the series.  There are so many Guardians who deserve to find their mates as well, especially Barrett.
