IT'S NOT PMS, IT'S YOU is a stand-alone romantic comedy that will have you snort-laughing out loud.  I suggest reading in a location where you won’t have to stop to explain your laughter.

Dating when you are a strong woman leads to this title.  “It’s not PMS, it’s you!” is what a woman often needs to say when a man asks, “is it that time of the month, sweetheart?” just because she didn’t fall at his feet for every smarmy line that came out of his mouth.  Ruth is a strong woman who, after the worst day of her life, has decided that there is more to life than business deadlines.  This leads to those snort-inducing laughs for the readers when she goes on date after date.  Trust me when I say, those men are out there. 

If you’re ready for a laugh per page reading, pick this one up.  It will turn any mood to happy and even a bit of calm Zen.

FIFTY, FURRED, AND FABULOUS is the tenth book in the Malsum Pass series.  This was the first book I have read from the series and I can honestly say that it stood on its own with no loss.  That was probably because Ginny was on vacation, so none of the other characters were around.

As a woman over fifty, I admired the author’s understanding that life is not just for the twenties and thirties.  Ginny Weller is about to have her fiftieth birthday and she is still fabulous!  Scott Sloane certainly thinks so.  Their vacation fling becomes so much more as is the way of wolf shifters.

I love that he was sure, but patient.  She was hopeful, cautious, but uncertain.  There was less of the almighty paranormal “must” and more room for the couple to grow together.  To me, that made their love more real.

I loved that they had fun together to allow that love to grow, even if it was in a short, vacation week.

As I said, this is the first book that I have read from this series.  I’d love to read more… to get to know more of the people who mean so much to Ginny.

Daisy and Jed’s story is a second chance romance.  It is also a Cinderella and Prince Charming story.  He comes from money and she is the daughter of the town whore.  Because of their past, they have trust issues that have to be broached and slain.  As always, communication will be the key.  Trust and communication are the hallmarks of any good relationship, but especially one founded in BDSM.

I love the realness of their emotions.  They make mistakes – both of them.  Trust is hard, especially after failure, even if that failure wasn’t their own.  I loved Jed’s team and hope we’ll see more of them and they’ll each find their own girls.

I understand Daisy.  She was the oldest sibling, forced always to be more mature than she was ready to be and denied her childhood.  Is that what causes Little behavior?  Maybe.  It seems to be what is implied in this story.

RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED BUMPKIN is the fourth story in the Country Cousin Mystery series and just one of 12 stories found exclusively in the 12 Cozy Mystery Carols of Christmas.

Spending time with Joey and her beau, Hal, made me think of the lines of the Christmas Carol:  “Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful. 

Since we’ve nowhere to go, let it snow; let it snow; let it snow.”

But, I had to add my own verse:

Our favorite Santa’s been left a chillin’ in a snowbank and his pot-belly pig is a reelin’

Though the killer we must know; Still it snows; still it snows; still it snows!

In this series, the murder is always upstaged by the adorable animals.  This time the victim’s pot-bellied pig outshines Joey’s Siamese cat and Pitbull.  This is not an easy task!

This was a fun mystery with some great turns, surprises… and frosted cookies!
