HER TWO ALPHAS is the second book in
the Mystic Harbor series. These books do
not rely upon each other and can be read in any order.
I loved the insta-love fated-mate
trope of the shifters Caleb and Elijah when they found their human, Lucy, lost
in the woods. The story just felt too
rushed in Lucy’s acceptance, especially after the grabby Mr. Bars at work – the
whole reason she was hiking in the woods to begin with. Lucy said she was furious at the lies and
manipulation. She left, but she came
back again without any real show of remorse or show of apology from “her
mates.” I didn’t feel like they won her
over… they didn’t win me over.
Because I liked the first book and I
love Ms. Grove’s work in general, I will give the next book in the series a
chance.
