WOLF’S PURSUIT is the second book in
the Knight Fever series. They are meant
to stand on their own, but I say they need to be read in the order of release
and there is too much overlap to pretend they are self-standing.
I found this story to be
entertaining, sexy, fast-paced, fun and funny.
I loved Gideon’s nobility and
honor. I loved that he recognized his
fated mate, and laughed when he thought he could tell fate that he would just
take a taste and walk away. You would
think after 1500 years a man would get a hint, but this just proves that some
only grow older. Still, he didn’t want a
witch and she didn’t want a werewolf, which just proves that God / fate /
(insert name) has a sense of humor.
As a side story: just as Jess had a noble passion as a nurse,
Olivia also has a higher calling. She is
determined to establish a school that will welcome the children of the area,
especially any others that may also be hiding gifts granted by the crystals
buried in their mountains. I love that
about her. She may be “large and in
charge,” but it is obvious that her heart is large as well.
Like the first book, this one flew
fast. These people are barely getting a
minute to breath or to take a rest as the bad guys hit them again and
again. Luckily, they seem to be up to
the challenges.
I devoured this story and I am
hoping to grab up the next book in the series as soon as it is offered!
