CHRIS is the sixth book in the MC Bear Mates series.  While it does stand apart from the first five books, I would still recommend reading them first. 

Look out; the next generation is coming of age!  Mars and Annette’s little girl has known her mate since she was fifteen.  For ten years, Chris has held back and allowed his girl to mature, but just how long can they wait.  Their society says she needs to be 50 to no longer be considered a cub, but who are they to argue with the Fates?

I love Ava.  She is smart and sassy.  Like Rumpelstiltskin, she has managed to spin gold from the straw that life has handed her.  Though it has left her depressed at times, it doesn’t hold her back from being herself and doing all that she can. 

As much as I loved Mars and Annette when it was their story (book 1 in the series), they have both become a**holes when it comes to protecting their little girl… and using her.

Chris is more of a gentleman than you could imagine any bear-shifter/MC man to be.  He knows who the fates have chosen for him, but he bides his time – for the sake of his bride.  He’s also alpha enough to stand up to Mars when the time is appropriate.  He’s never disrespectful, but he confidently supports Ava.  That is a man I can love.

The story was very well thought out and the characters were all allowed to evolve and grow in the short time span of these events.  I look forward to the next book in the series.  As usual, we are left on edge of a surprise to be announced.  I’m just glad this is one of the authors that doesn’t make us wait very long and we’ll have the next installment sooner rather than later.
