2015. Some laugh at me, but I do not
open my autographed copies. They are
lovingly shelved, and then I purchase a Kindle copy to read.
MABE’S BURDEN is the first book in
the Saving Shenanigan’s series. They
each stand on their own, but should be read in the order of release for the
overarching storyline.
I loved that this story was all
about the love of family. It was also
about loyalty and honor. It was also
about romance… from the heart…. Sigh!
The plot is fast-paced in a slow-paced
town in Central Florida. I’m in Central
Florida. So, I was looking on the map to
see if I could set down roots and commute it sounded so sweet there – even with
the plots of deception - compared to the middle of Mickey Mouse city!
The worst part of the book was the
end. Not the ending, mind you. The end, because I didn’t have the next
book! I would recommend this book, and
therefore this series, to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance with family
heart and suspense, especially if you want a bit of Florida heat.
