MISS KANE’S CHRISTMAS is the first
book in the Christmas Central series.
I was offered a copy of book three
in this series as an audiobook, so I went hunting to see if I had any others to
get me in the Christmas-y mood. So here
I am.
This was a quick, fun, sweet,
Christmas story and a little bit of happy I needed. I have to say that I loved the characters and
the story.
It would be easy to hate Ben. He hates Christmas! Then you have to remember, even the Grinch’s
heart eventually was turned and grew too large to be measured. It’s not that Ben is a bad man. He has been so hurt by the double loss of his
wife – you’ll have to read it to find out what I mean about a double loss –
that he honestly believes that a more realistic approach to life will lead to
less heartache for his children.
Unfortunately, it’s making them miserable in the right now time!
This is where Carol comes in… Santa
always sends the gift you most need and this time he sent it three days before
Christmas. Carol is Christmas
personified! Bells on her shoes and a
smile in her heart and on her face. She
is exactly who you want to see when you are looking for that Christmas
mood. How could Ben help but to fall in
love with her and the season!
I recommend this book to anyone
looking for a quick literary sugar rush, a mood lifter, or a bit of holiday
spirit any time of the year. I can’t
wait to return to Christmas Central (aka The North Pole).
