Description from the publisher:
For
Elle Quinn, meeting tall, dark, and handsome Lucas Rivers at the farmer’s
market is just what she needs. This strong, dominate man knows just how to
handle all of her curves. Much to her delight, they can’t keep their hands off
each other.
Too bad for Elle, her pleasure is cut short when a mysterious stranger whisks her away through the woods. Their destination will shock Elle and send her down a dark path of self-discovery.
Taken by the Shifters is a 16,000 word BBW/Shifter Romance. It is the first entry in the Taken Series, chronicling Elle Quinn’s search for love and the truth about her past. The series will contain explicit descriptions of sexual matter and is intended for mature audiences over the age of 18.

This book was released in three
parts and each does need to be read in order.
I like the idea of this story. Ms. Kidd provides a unique shifter type
(multi-transforming). Like Sam on True
Blood can be any kind of dog; here, the shifters can be anything. Ms. Kidd also provides a clear statement on
the human pathos in that we tend to ignore what does not directly affect
us. How else could you explain so many
shifters living close by and nobody believes they exist?
Though I liked the plot and I have
fallen in love with Lucas, I think Elle is an odd person with too little
self-esteem. I understand that first
meeting someone can be electrifying and lead to carnality, but to follow a man
without a word and indulge, is beyond lust and reeks of desperation. I believe I would have established more
sympathy for Elle had her history been more developed.
Having read the “blurbs” for the
other two installments in this book, I would like to read them and find out
just what happens.
