Jade was orphaned at a young age,
when the Triad killed her parents. After
living in several foster homes, she ran away to the streets. There, she met Jessa and Rainy, and the three
of them moved into a cottage by the sea.
They were hidden away from the Triad, until fate brings Jade back into
their sights. Soon, they are in a race
away from the evil forces and working towards achieving safety for their
community.
This was a fast-paced, action,
thrill with witches and romance that kept me on the edge of my seat from
beginning to end. It was so smoothly
written, it is hard to believe this is Ms. Loveday's first publication. I'm willing to bet she has a drawer full of
stories somewhere. We can only hope she
decides to share more with us!
Warning: this does end in a cliff-hanger (I literally
cried "nooooo!" when I read the last sentence), but DO NOT let that
keep you from reading this book. It will
be worth the wait to see what comes next!
