Description from the publisher:
“Can I help you?” He looked at her boldly, his gaze taking in every inch of her. The look on his face said he liked what he saw.
“I was looking for Mr. Tate. Is he around?” She was amazed that her voice sounded so normal when her heart was beating so fast he must surely be able to hear it.
“I’m sorry. My dad isn’t here right now. Is there something I can do for you?”
This is the first book in the Taking a Chance on Love series. It does stand-alone
Siren Allen asked me to take part in the tour for this book, but, unfortunately, I had already made commitments for the entire week. She and Misty Matthews agreed that I may do participate after the official dates and I'm glad they did. This is a sweet, easy, romantic read. I found it to be a nice relaxing change of pace from some of the darker or more intense reads that have left me in a bawling or anxious heap. I loved both Alana and Connor, individually and together. There was plenty of sexual tension and drama, tempered with a beautiful HEA. I am so glad I didn’t miss this story!
This is the first story presented by the team that has named themselves Misty Matthews. An excellent book and I hope that they will continue working together. In fact, I hope there will be a companion book to explore the story of Isabelle’s father and Melody.
Misty Matthews is a newly formed writing partnership between Susanne Matthews and Misty Cail. These authors have never met and the book was created by grace and virtue of email and Internet chats. It's a true Twenty-first century miracle.
Misty and Susanne met in an online Facebook chat group back in December, 2012 and have become fast friends and partners. Misty, the plot genius, had the idea for the book, but found it hard to do the research and polishing necessary for the story. Susanne loved the premise of the story and offered to handle that aspect of it in partnership with her. The name seemed a natural choice. The rest as they say is history.
When Front Porch Romance offered them their first contract, they actually spoke by phone for the first time, cementing a working relationship they hope will go on for years to come. While both authors will continue to write solo, watch for more books and short stories from the duo.
