A HUNTER BORN is the first book in
the Hired Hunters series. It is also a spin-off of the Misfits &
Rogues Series. This is a continuing
series and will need to read them in the order of release.
If you haven’t read the Misfits and
Rogues Series, the only thing you need to know is that when a vampire is turned
– willingly – he or she signs a contract providing service to his sire for 200
years as a paid worker. This does not
have to be slavery or servitude, though some masters/sires can be exceedingly
cruel. The main character of A HUNTER
BORN, Morgan, is an enforcer who retrieves vampires who have decided to renege
on their contract – by running away.
I loved visiting New Orleans with
Morgan and her team. I’ve never been
there, except through the books that I have read. I’d hate to go for real, because I’d be disappointed
to not find the vampires, werewolves, and dragons of my fantasy worlds.
The chemistry between Morgan, a born
vampire Hunter, and Travis St. John a human (?) cop is off-the-charts steamy. Their story is exciting. I’m looking forward to their future with
anticipation.
I loved this first book in this new
series. There are some great twists and
surprises. This is going to be a
wonderful addition to the Misfits world.
