AN EASTER DEMON FOR ELOISE is the
second book in the Candy for Demons
series. Though each will stand on its
own, though for maximum enjoyment, it is better if you have read the first book
as well.
I love that the author went all in
with the Easter theme – lilies, bunnies, pretty dresses, demons (just checking
if you were paying attention) and an Easter Egg hunt. It was a fun non-theological look at Heaven’s
and Hell’s perspective on the season, according to this world, and it was a
suspenseful dark romance in a twistedly beautiful Hell.
Yes, I lost sleep last night,
because I had to read. I HAD TO – this
was not up for debate. In my opinion, it
was worth it. Eloise and Killian needed
their time together to find their way to be an “us,” but this also established
who Hazel was and what her powers are.
Yes, she has a power. If you’ve
read the first book, you had to suspect that the “normal” triplet had one that
she wasn’t sharing. Well, now it has been
revealed and it’s a doozy! I hate that I
have to wait until Fall to read her book, but I will be ready when it is.
