This is the first book in the V.V.
Inn series, though there are two prequels which I have read and reviewed in the
last few days. The books do need to be
read in order, though the prequels could either be read at the beginning or in
the order in which they were originally released. My suggestion is read them first. I fell in love with Jon while reading Death’s
Servant, and I don’t think you get to know enough about him if this
were to be your first read in the series.
Just because you can do something
doesn’t mean you should. Viv is a
vampire. She can manipulate people. She can usurp a person’s free will…. Nevertheless,
that doesn’t mean that she should, and she has made the determination that she
won’t.
This is a modern whodunit in an
isolated world of vampires running in an inn in Alaska. There is a balance of humor, sexy, and cozy
mystery.
I will soon be returning to the V.V.
