LITTLE LOVES is the second book in the Church Dogs of Charleston series. Though each will stand on its own, I highly recommend reading them all. The prologue is the same in each and describes how the pups and Mother Mary were discovered on Christmas Eve.

I only highlighted one passage. In fact, I read it to my dog and my boyfriend, and we continue to repeat it around our house. Around here, “miracle” is just a fancy word for “Chihuahau.” You see, we have a Little Love of our own and her name means Teeny Tiny in English (It is actually Xiao Xiao, but that is Chinese, and most people can’t pronounce it.) For that reason alone, these stories truly touch my heart. Add in a foster child – of which I had many foster brothers and sisters. Then the fact that she is escaping a domestic violence situation – which I have had my hand in assisting many times – and I am just going to write the word sucker on my forehead!

Beyond loving Harmony and Muffin, Nolan is the stuff of dreams. He is meant for her in so many ways and the final showdown more than proves it. When he literally turns the other cheek for her, I cried for them both.

Do not miss this series, but especially this story. Fall in love with your own Chihuahua Miracle.
