MISADVENTURES WITH MY EX is the
twenty-third release in the multi-author Misadventures series. Each is a stand-alone romance of epic love.
In this case, we have characters
from a previous Misadventure returning because Eryn is Ella’s (from Misadventures
of a Backup Bride) younger sister. There
is a third sister, Echo, whom I believe just may have a misadventure with her
best friend on the horizon!
It is wholly appropriate that I should
read this book on this date. The opening
pages have Eryn lamenting that it should be her third wedding anniversary with
West and today should have been my thirty-fifth wedding anniversary. Talk about knowing the character’s feelings! Talk about feeling the fantasy!
This story had me sucked in from the
first line and kept me glued to it. I
loved the romance and rockiness. Ms.
Black gets the concept of wariness perfectly.
Once bitten and permanently gun-shy is real. More than anything, I loved that the men in
the white hats win, not everyone in black hats is all bad, and the villainess lands
on her ass, just as fate and justice should demand.
I hope my prediction that Echo will
have a book in the Misadventure series is true and we will be returning to the
Hope sisters with Ms. Shayla Black soon.
