MISADVENTURES WITH A MANNY is the sixteenth
book in the Misadventures series. They
each stand completely on their own.
From the very first page, I was
drawn to Vera. I understand her
pain. I’ve been there (though she
wasn’t a nanny). Vera is shy, but don’t
mistake that for a lack of strength. She
is a wonderful mom, worker, and woman – in that order. Her priorities are questioned by those around
her, but those priorities have given her and her family the good life they
have.
The relationship between Vera and
Lincoln is fun and flirty. I love the
suspense of them both denying the draw between them until it cannot be refused. There is also the undeniable sweetness of
Vera finding her HEA in the arms of her manny, when she was left by the
cheating ex for the previous nanny – Karmic revenge at its finest!
The secondary characters really add
to the story. Lincoln’s best friend,
Phillip, and Vera’s sister, Riana, are married.
I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to find the book that is
their story. If someone knows, please clue
me in!
I loved this addition to the
Misadventures series and I’m looking forward to many more!
This is the first book I have read
from Toni Aleo and that makes me sad. I
want!!
