LOVE’S PRAYER is the first in the First Street Church series. Each stands on their own, but with heavy involvement with the characters from the other stories.

Several dark subjects are approached with tenderness and compassion. I’ll admit that I understand both Ben and Summer. It is easy to feel lost in a world that sometimes seems to hold too many options and not enough at the same time.

I am in love with Ben, his mother, Summer, her Aunt Iris, and the silly parrot that added a bit of levity when things might have been too blue.

Now, I accidentally read LOVE’S VOW before LOVE’S PRAYER, so I was less on edge as I might have been had I not had that sneak peek ahead in their life. Of course, it is a romance, so you have to suspect that there is a happy ending any way, right? The story is uplifting and positive reinforcing.

It is obvious to me that this series is going to be like potato chips. There is no way I can stop at just one (or two) books. I will be reading until I run out and whining that the bag is empty.
