MY LOVER'S MATE is the fourth book in
the Destined Mates series. While this
does stand completely on its own, there is mention of previous happenings that
make me wish I had read the previous books.
In fact, I went into this book completely cold. Imagine my surprise when I started reading
the names of the towns – Holopaw, St. Cloud, Kissimmee – these are all in my
backyard! Now I need to read the rest of
the stories about the supernatural beings who live down the road. Even though it is the fourth book in the series,
I had no problem catching up on who was whom.
This was a sexy, fun story leading
to an interesting solution when one woman is torn between two lovers – the one
she left at the altar and the one she found when she was looking for
answers. I loved Noel, Jake, and Wes,
but most of all I loved Marge. She is
going to be a pistol-whip of a mother-in-law!
I loved, loved, loved – I can’t say
loved enough times – loved this story. For
me this was a great introduction to the supernatural village down the
road. You can bet my eyes will be
watching the woods more closely the next trip I make to Melbourne! In the meantime, I WANT THE REST OF THIS
SERIES!!!
