LOVE’S GAMBLE is the third book in
the Sweet Grove Beginnings series. Though
each book will stand on its own, they are even better if you have read them all
and in the order of release.
Phoebe’s intelligence is captivating
but could be her Achille’s heel. She’s
so busy outsmarting Aaron, that she almost misses her opportunity for a
wonderful new life.
Aaron is the black sheep of his
family and Phoebe’s blackmail has him forced to return to Sweet Grove, TX. I loved how his family accepted and welcomed
their prodigal brother.
The slowly building relationship
between Aaron and Phoebe had me holding my breath, smiling, and nearly hopping
with hope for them to choose to stay together in Sweet Grove.
I only wish I had had the chance to
read LOVE’S CHANCE. The bits of Katherine
and Thomas’ story that are given within this book only made me hungrier for
their meeting.
Note: There were some editing errors that made me
cringe, such as: “The New Year had been seen in a week ago, and the January
frosts had come and gone. February was here,…”
Hopefully this new publishing company will improve as they grow and
mature.
