DIRTY WORK is the first book in the Filthy Politics series. They are each stand-alone enemies-to-lover romances and can be read in any order (so far). In fact, I read the second first and now I’m reading the first one second. It didn’t matter.

I’ve often heard and repeated that an author’s job is to ask “what if.” In this story, Chelle Bliss and Brenda Rothert ask, “what if a politician did believe in being honest and moral in his quest for a Senate seat?” While we’re at it, “what if, he and his opponent were to fall in love?” Only one of them can be elected to hold the office. Can one win the seat and could both win at love?

All’s fair in love and ~~war~~ politics. Look around at today’s headlines and it seems that some politicians believe that is 100% true. Then, there are the rest of us who wonder why we can’t have morality and honesty in our politics (and our relationships). Enter Jude Titan. He’s sexy, honest, trustworthy, and a war veteran/hero. Reagan didn’t stand a chance – not in the race for the senate seat or at guarding her heart. He captured her from the first kiss and it was just a matter of time (and lots of sexy texts).

Speaking of the texts, I loved the way that they were incorporated into the story. It was just so real to life and believable. It was giggle-worthy more than a few times, too.

I’ve caught up on the series and I’m looking forward to book three… soon! I recommend you catch up and keep up. This author is one I never miss!
