HIS TO BEAR is the third book in the
Bear Warden series. Each stands on its
own, but it is better if you have read the whole series to know the other
characters. This series is also entwined
with the Bear Patrol, Rescue Bear, and Fate Valley series.
Like real life, tragedy and joy can
be entwined. A child that is born as his
mother perishes. The dog that
miraculously survives the house fire. A
bear shifter finds his mate on the same day that his pack mate is killed in the
forest.
I enjoyed this whodunit team up of
the new doctor in town and the game warden/bear shifter. It was sexy, emotional, and intelligent. Brody was torn between claiming the mate he
has just met and solving the murder of his friend. What a revelation that he didn’t have to
choose, but could do both!
Whenever possible, I return to Fate
