Description from the publisher:
Haunted
by the responsibility of caring for her troubled family, Maya Jacobs gave the
only answer she could when Cameron asked her to marry him. Years later, entrenched in a soulless
professional routine, she distracts herself from the lingering regret of her
decision with a “work hard, play hard” lifestyle that guarantees no man will
ever find his way into her heart again.
Cameron
Bridge has spent the past five years married to the military, trying to escape
the painful memory of losing Maya. After fighting his own war in the desert, he
starts a new life in New York City, with his siblings, Olivia and Darren, by
his side.
When
fate brings Maya back to him in the heart of a city filled with its own hopes
and shadows, can Cameron find the girl he once loved in the woman she’s become?

This is the first release in the
Bridge series. They will need to be read
in order.
Second chances – how often we all
wish for a second chance to make the right decision. In Maya’s case, it wasn’t the wrong decision,
it was just wrong timing. She and
Cameron were so young; they made many of the impetuous mistakes of their youth,
believing in now or never. When they are
reunited after five years of trying to make it through their own lives alone,
they both learn that sometimes we all need a second (or even a third) chance to
get things right.
I loved both Maya and Cameron. I see in both of them the ways we all would
like to be seen, headstrong, determined, confident, and all of the ways we all
know we truly are, bull-headed, hesitant, and flawed. In other words, they are so real that you
can’t help to relate to them. Your life
story may not be the exact same, but we all have our mountains to climb. I cheer for each of you as I did for them, as
you take that trail and conquer it. May
we all be winners!
The story flow was natural; nothing
felt forced or awkward. The characters
and the narrative are well-developed. The grammar and editing have been very
well done. This is a polished,
professional release. Sit back and enjoy
your read
Maya’s friend Eli needs his own
story; I’m just sayin’. The next book,
INTO THE FIRE, is Darren and Vanessa’s story.
This should be good! I look
forward to reading many more stories from Ms. Wild.
