Grayson, an aspiring singer/songwriter, believes he was never supposed to be born. He does not allow himself friends, because they may see his alcoholic mother or emotionally distant father. He tries to shield his little brother from the toxic situation in their home. There is one friend; they have been together since he was eight. Lily knows the home situation and the fears of Grayson's heart, but does not press him to speak of anything that makes him uncomfortable. Grayson knows that he loves Lily, but he cannot allow himself to do more than dream of her in his lonely bed every night. What will it take to lead them to their HEA? Can they have a HEA?

I’m blaming Ms. Zart for a sleepless night and for waking up my hubby with my crying (but I’m not telling you which part had me crying). This story was fabulously written. Ms. Zart has provided us with fully-developed characters and a heart-wrenching story that sucks you in and holds you captive.

Two warnings: You will need Kleenex and you will crave Dove dark chocolates. Luckily, I had both within reach while reading this wonderful story.
