Description from the publisher:
Sex, Blood, and Rock n' Roll.

Immortal Dilemma is the hottest band in the Las Vegas vampire rock scene. They draw insatiable fans from around the globe, thanks to a supernatural attraction called Bloodlust. Tristan craved such an opportunity to fill his empty mortal life, and now he has eternity to earn his place along the legends of rock n roll debauchery.

Callie always feared that Tristan’s excesses would get him into trouble, but she never thought they’d lead him to immortality. To reconnect with him, she must weave her way through a world not only she had no idea existed, but does not welcome her.

Blade turned down a spot in Immortal Dilemma after learning what he must sacrifice for that lifestyle. He finds Callie a refreshing change from the girls in the vampire rock scene. When Callie drags Blade back into the world of Immortal Dilemma, his resistance drives her into the waiting arms of Tristan, who shows her the true meaning of Bloodlust.

But the very things that Callie fights so hard to save are the very things that fight to destroy her.

My Favorite Quote:
(conversation between Callie and Talis, the biggest baddest vampire in Las Vegas)
Talis sat up straighter and gave me a puzzled glare.  She may have her immortal super powers in her favor, but no one could out bitch my mother.  I smiled, realizing this, and met her stare.  I’d had almost nineteen years of training for this.  Bring it on, you crazy dead bitch.

Callie grew up with her hippie parents in Martha’s Vineyard.  She misses the boy she fell in love with when he visited during the summer when she was 16, but she hasn’t heard from him since he became a rock star in Las Vegas.  His band, Immortal Dilemma, has been portrayed as vampires.  She plans a vacation with her cousin and becomes reacquainted with Tristan.  She also meets Blade and falls in love with him.  When Blade pushes her away, she runs to Tristan and his world of vampires.  She finds that it is not media hype.  It is not promotional.  These vampires are real and she is addicted to his Bloodlust.

I loved this story.  Vampires and angsty teens – what could go wrong?  The girls were all perfectly represented with personalities to love, to hate, to want to be your bestie.  The guys were a lot more mysterious and I hope to learn more about Blade, Tristan, and all of the others as we dive further into this series.

I hate that it was the first in the series and then a necessary prequel was written after and we have a book 1.1 written to be released before book 2.  (Note – personal rant:  Why can’t they be numbered 2 and 3?  This is an odd and frustrating trend in our literary world that I really dislike.)  I think I may have preferred to have read the prequel before this book one of the series.
