BDSM Erotic romance

Her car disabled during a tropical storm, Jessica Randall discovers the isolated house where she's sheltering is a private bondage club. At first shocked, she soon becomes aroused watching the interactions between the Doms and their subs. But she's a professional woman--an accountant--and surely isn't a submissive . . . is she?

Master Z hasn't been so attracted to a woman in years. But the little sub who has wandered into his club intrigues him. She's intelligent. Reserved. Conservative. After he discovers her interest in BDSM, he can't resist tying her up and unleashing the passion she hides within.

This is the first book in the Masters of the Shadowlands series.  They do need to be read in order.
My friend, Pat, recommended this series to me.  She bought me books two (Dark Citadel) and three (Breaking Free) for me for Christmas and my birthday.  She then asked me every time she saw me, “Did you start to read them yet?  You’re going to love them!”  I put them off over and over, because I had so many promised to read for BETA, blog tours, etc.  This week, I decided to make it a priority to read what my friend has so strongly endorsed to me.  She officially has my permission to kick my ass – literally!

I could not put this story down.  I read it from cover to cover with only bathroom breaks in just a few hours.  Unlike that popular Twilight fanfic, in this book the BDSM lifestyle is much more realistically portrayed.  The intensity found in scenes is enough to get me to hold my breath, (and wish for a Dom-ly gentleman of my own).  More important to me was the presentation of the education available, the negotiations, and the aftercare that must be a part of every scene.  I have fallen in love with Jess and Master Z.  When I finished the book, I texted Pat, and commented, “Excellent book.  Can I have Mr. Cullen, please?”

I am very thankful that I have the next two books and can read them immediately, though I’ve been told that neither of them is Mr. Cullen’s book.  If you haven’t started reading these yet, let me know.  I’ll be the friend who pesters you to read this great series that I want to share with you!
