WHO AM I KITTEN is the second book in the Midlife Magic and Mystery series.  While each book will stand on its own, read them all and in the order of release for maximum enjoyment.
 
I love the relationship that is building between Ruby and her new protégé, Allegra.  I am glad that Rumpus and Rufus get to continue their tutoring as Ruby mentors Allegra.
 
Ruby’s friendship with the Chief of Police is also growing with mutual respect and desire.  I like when there is true friendship in a love interest.  The best lovers are best friends first.
 
This was a well-thought-out cozy mystery with Ruby assisting the local law as a “consultant” since it is obviously skirting the paranormal as well.
 
A few “small plot” inconsistencies that needed to be ironed out.  I hope the author caught them between the ARC I read and the final release.  Nothing that disturbed the major plot line and would require a major re-write.
 
My final word:  I love these characters – especially the cats – and I look forward to reading more from this series.
