Description from the publisher:
A witch’s work is never done…

Journalist/Sleuth/Witch Blair Barrows returns for her most insidious, twisty mystery yet. With the help of her perpetually snark—and habitually mouthy—feline familiar Felix, Blair must unravel the clues and catch a killer leaving charred bodies in their wake.

One problem: The killer and Blair’s maybe-boyfriend Vinnie “Skips” Monsanto might be the same person.

With her personal life falling apart all around her, it’s a good thing Blair and Felix can count on their wacky crew of wolf shifter detectives, witches, trolls, and ghosts to help save the day. Good thing too, because a skyscraper-sized demon has Blair in its sights, and she’s going to need all the help she can get.

Along the way, Blair seeks the answers to many of life’s eternal questions. Can love survive suspicion? Is career advancement worth putting up with a tyrannical boss? And is Disco still a valid form of musical expression?

Don’t miss the thrills, chills, intrigue, mystery, danger, and magic in Blair and Felix’s latest adventure. Take one part Seinfeld, one part Gilmore Girls, season with Harry Potter, and throw in a dash of spooky antics and you still won’t be prepared for the onslaught of entertainment waiting for you in…

Boss Witch.

BOSS WITCH is the fourth book in the
Hex and the City series.  This series must be read in the order of release – I didn’t know that, and this is the first book I read from this series.  While I mostly caught up, I definitely was lost in some parts.

This played in my mind like a comic book – larger than life.  Suspend reality and step back into your tween years to enjoy a bit of fantasy with an adult edge.

Yes, I enjoyed this despite picking up a fourth in series and I would gladly continue reading books from the Hex and the City witches.

Note:  While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.
