Tons of secrets!  Never a good thing for any relationship, whether it’s friends, family, or fated mates.
 
This is a great fantasy at a supernatural, hidden magical academy.  Intrigue, mystery, and a dash of romance kept me glued to the story into the wee hours of the morning.  I was not putting it down!  I’m waiting anxiously for what will happen next – I’m sure I won’t be putting that one down either.

THE REARRANGEMENT is the first book in the Malsum Pass series.  This is a continuing paranormal romance series and you do need to read them in the order of release.
 
This story is given to newsletter subscribers (subscribe) as a thank you.  It was originally released between books 7 and 8 as a prequel for loyal readers to reminisce with the matriarch and patriarch.  In my opinion, this short story makes a wonderful introduction to the series.  I have officially fallen in love with Sherry and Tarvahl.

This was a fun, colorful, cute, and quirky cozy mystery that could be enjoyed as a family read.  I absolutely loved the pandacoons and there was even mention of a catacorn.  Purple lightning, colorful animals, and eccentric art majors brought me back to my own university days (even though I was a staid math major).  It was fun living Lisa’s life with her bohemian landladies as they all adjusted to her new magic in stride.
 
I loved this story and I’m looking forward to more hijinks and colorful imaginative creatures as Lisa and an unexpected friend solve more cozy mysteries in the future.

THE BLUEBERRY SWIRL WALTZ is the seventh book in the multi-author One Scoop or Two series.  Each story is a stand-alone romance with the connecting theme of an ice cream shop.  This story is a historical romance set in the 1950s with a long-standing crush awakened years after high school.
 
So many historical romances are set in Regency England or the Antebellum South or maybe during World War II.  This was refreshingly different.  There was no war acting as a second rogue. There were two hearts working towards each other, overcoming obstacles, and facing the challenges of life in a small mill town.  That’s what made this story so much different from other historical novels and what made it one of my favorites of this year.
 
I loved Katie from the moment she twirled on her toes in the opening scene.  She’s sweet, feisty, determined, loyal, and strong.  She’s also a hopeless, hopeful romantic.  She and her family deserve everything good in life.
 
I’d love to see follow up stories placed at this Ice Cream Shop as Katie’s sisters realize their dreams… and maybe mom too!
