The Order sends her to Massachusetts to deal with a paranormal threat, and she meets the young and handsome widower, Clarence Watts. However, being with him comes with a choice. How can she choose between the man she loves and the magic she holds dear?

ROOT BREW FLOAT is a cute and quirky, short-story, paranormal romance.  This is the third book in the multi-author One Scoop or Two series.

Jo has lived over 700 years, including having lived through the horrors of the Salem witch trials.  She lives in service to The Order, assisting humans who need the skills of a witch when supernatural events – ghosts, goblins, and things that go bump in the night – disrupt the normal and expected.  She is only in one town for a few days, helps, and then moves on.  She has always moved on, but this time she hesitates to do so…

I loved Jo and her familiar, Jinx, from the moment they stepped off the ferry.

I loved this sweet and sassy short story.  Though a short story, it was perfectly paced with plenty of hints before reveals (as opposed to info dumping).  The story was fun, funny, sweet, and held a promise of steam without crossing the line (lots of flirting, a little kissing, but no sex, swearing, or anything else you wouldn’t want your teenager reading).

I liked this so much that I hunted through all of the books offered on Booksprout to see if the other authors were offering their editions.  Sadly, no.  If they are as much fun as this one, I would recommend them as well!

Note:  While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.
