A TREE FROG AND HER HONEY BADGER is the fifteenth book in the multi-author FUC Academy series.  Each is a stand-alone, paranormal, romantic suspense story set in the FUC world created by Eve Langlais.  You do not need to have read any of those books to start this series – I haven’t, though I wish now that I had.
 
This is the first book I have read from Julia Mills and I promise it will not be the last.  For those who know and love her Dragon Guards, you’ll recognize a few characters.  For those, like me, who have not read that series yet, there are a few chapters that are a great tease to make you want more of these hot and sweet dragon mates.  They add to this story and make a great advertisement for the author’s other works.  Well done Ms. Mills!
 
Now, as for this particular story.  Two unique shifters and they are both not just unique in their shifts, but in their personalities.  Freddie is particularly quirky (and addicted to morning life-giving sustenance). 
 
I absolutely loved this story, and I cannot wait for more.  At the end of the book, the author has listed DOC AND HER DRAGON and DUSTY AND HER DINO as future books that will be in the FUCnA series from her, but they are not yet listed on the website.  I’m looking forward to them!

One fun twist was that Tawny’s new assignment requires her to be teamed up with Melody, the young witch who tried to kill her in book 1!  Because she doesn’t have magic Tawny may be the only one who can help the PTA (Paranormal Temp Agency) discover who is kidnapping their agents.
 
I love these quirky fun stories and I’m looking forward to more temp jobs assigned to Tawny and more (c)attitude from Mr. Fluffikins.

MONSTER M*A*S*H* is the first book in the Monster MASH series.  Previously released as Immortally Yours.  The series is a continuing saga and romance that will need to be read in the order or release.
 
This story gave a lot of nods to the old MASH TV show that I loved, while maintaining its own originality.  For example:  While Hawkeye and McIntyre called their tent “The Swamp,’ Petra’s tent is next to an actual tar swamp!
 
The adage is “war is hell.”  Now imagine a war that is held in the fields that lead to hell… and while a real seems to last forever, this one has lasted for thousands of years. 
 
So, what did I think of the writing?  In a word – AWESOME.  It’s a fun story.  Tons of great banter.  A love interest that is a s-l-o-w burn with lots of  wit and charm.  I loved reading it.  This is the kind of story that I keep at the top of the pile to read again.
