REBEL WOLF is the fifth book in the Wilde Brothers Ranch series.  Each of these will stand on its own, but for maximum enjoyment – and they are an enjoyment – I highly recommend reading them all and in the order of release.
 
These seven brothers are looking for their brides, errrr mates.  Gunner is the youngest and the sixth to find his.  He is the sensitive one.  Though each of the brothers rebels in their own way, Gunner has rebelled against the family in the past, until he found his calling in art and college.
 
Since Romeo and Juliet – and it probably wasn’t a new story then – every generation and every author has had their star-crossed lovers.  Just in the last hundred years we’ve had West Side Story, the Hatfield and the McCoys, and even cartoon adaptations like Gnomeo and Juliet.  Cassidy’s last name is even McCoy, leaving no doubt as to the inspiration for this story, and it was beautifully applied.
 
One of the things that was different about this matching was that Cassidy and Gunner are both shifters.   They didn’t have to go through the whole shy human thing.  Instead, they had to deal with a long-standing family feud that was tearing Cassidy’s loyalties and equilibrium to pieces.
 
I loved this story.  It’s as simple as that.  I love Romeo and Juliet type stories anyway and this one was absolutely perfectly done (with no graveyards, poison, or suicide).
