BEARY TALES is a stand-alone, dark,
paranormal romance.
Wonderfully written, it felt like an
old-time fairy tale, but with modern characters. There were also elements of some of the old
favorites sprinkled through.
Goldalynn starts out as a good girl,
but allows her powers to corrupt her. This
leads to her using dark magic and claiming it as part of her true love of her
husband.
The three bears and their fairy god…
uncle, Butchy, are running from her. It
is a lot of fun to listen in as these three girl bears learn how to be young ladies
and as they each find their true loves.
I loved the humor mixed with the
feel of a traditional fairy tale. Uncle
Butchy is over-the-top wild and has his own lessons to learn.
I loved the ending. It too was reminiscent of an old fairy tale
in twisting and summing up the lessons learned.
Narration: Shana M. Buck has a
beautiful melodic voice, but her reading is stilted and forced with many odd
pauses and a monotone delivery.
