ONE NIGHT OF SCANDAL is the fourth book in the Wicked Dukes Club series.  Each will stand on its own, but I highly recommend reading them all and in the order of release.

I swear I could hear the clip-clop of horses’ hooves on the cobblestones of London streets as I lost myself in the pages of this book.  The descriptions were that complete and consuming.

I loved that their story was about them being friends and working together, behind the scenes, to find the source of the scandal.  I loved that he is protective and supportive.  I love that she finds freedom with him!  That is a truth most don’t know about love.  There is more than romance; there is acceptance, and a full life.

This is the second of three books in this series that Darcy Burke will contribute and I am looking forward to her more, more, more!

MY REVIEW

5 CROWNS

DINNER WITH THE WOLF is the second book in the Misfits & Rogues series.  These will need to be read in the order of release.

Vivian Page grew up in middle class with dreams of the big stage in Hollywood.  She changed her name.  She changed her demeanor.  She changed her look.  Eventually she changed her species.  On the run, she returns to her hometown to see the museum erected in her honor and that’s the beginning of reality catching up to her.

Hollywood is a bit like Oz when you actually do have star pizzazz.  They lavish you with compliments, gifts, and money.  You start to believe the hype of your own fame.  Too many find the man behind the curtain in the form of an orange jumpsuit.  I’m glad Vivian instead found a pair of ruby red slippers named Jules and that he brought her home.

The character interaction is amazing.  I absolutely enjoyed this story and could not put it down.  The enemies-to-lovers theme has been done perfectly in this story and has been set up to be done again in the next book with blue fire balls in CHOCOLATES FROM A VAMPIRE.

MY REVIEW

5 CROWNS

ONE NIGHT OF PASSION is the third book in the Wicked Dukes Club series.  Though each will stand on its own, there is a lot of reference to the former matches and I would recommend reading them anyway – they are all five crown reads.

Thad doesn’t have a title or need one.  He wants true love.  He believes in The One and believes everyone deserves their one.  Sigh!  He wants a happy-ever-after.

Priscilla believes that if she just has her independence, she’ll be happy.  So many of us live our lives with this premise.  If I just lose 10 more pounds, I’ll be happy.  If I just get that job, I’ll be happy.  If I just get a different man, I’ll be happy.  She isn’t whining.  She isn’t looking for someone to save her.  She is making a game of forcing fate towards her goals.  She has made lemonade of the lemons life has given her, for now.  But then Thad happens.  I won’t spoil a moment of it by telling you a word of that.  Just know that I think every word of it must be read.

Sweet and romantic from beginning to end, this is the story that can’t be missed.
