BASK IN MAGIC is the third book in the Unseen Midlife series.  This series is best enjoyed if you read all of the stories and in the order of release.
 
I can connect with Jen in her tendency to love books… to distract herself from the realities of life by diving into a good paranormal…. So here we are talking about this paranormal romance.  The difference is that Jen has a moment of stress that propels her into becoming a paranormal character.  Oh, how I wish…
 
Jen also starts gathering men, because this is a reverse harem romance after all.  The first of her three men is Roan, what we would call Fae, but they call themselves Dannan.  He is her knight in a tailored-suit on her first day as a dragon.  I liked Roan right away.  He’s funny, smart, and sensitive.  Second is Alexander.  He seems cold at first, but ultimately he’s practical and compassionate.  The last of her triple-decker yumminess is Doryu (dor-ee-you).  He is Sarkany – a dragon – like Jen.  He is playful, sweet, and gentle.  All three men are handsome, intelligent, and devoted immediately.
 
I love the continuing world-building in this book.  Plus, there is an open end for more of this world to continue.  It does end in a cliff-hanger, but that just makes me anxious for book 4.  I am one of those odd people who like the suspense of a cliffie!

DANCE IN NIGHT is the second book in the Unseen Midlife series.  This series should definitely be read in the order of release.  (I made the mistake of picking up the second book without reading the first.)  This is a reverse-harem, paranormal, suspense romance.
 
There is a LOT of description of what it feels like to be pregnant.  While at times I found it to be a little annoying, to me it also makes this more realistic.  After all, when a woman is pregnant that is all that is on her mind and most of what she talks about.
 
The romances and relationships between Riley, her husbands, Axo, and their children are all beautifully described.
 
The story is fast-paced, engaging, and entertaining.  Though I missed the first book, I thoroughly enjoyed this episode in Riley’s life and would love to continue the series to find out what else will happen with her and her dragon.
