I loved Richelle Mead’s Vampire
Academy and this book has a similar feeling.
Though Rose was accepted as a Dhampir and Dimitri was one of her Dhampir
instructors, their relationship was just as unaccepted as Lily – a human – and
Bryce – her bodyguard and a vampire.
NO STAKES ALLOWED has plenty of
action, drama, and sweet romance with a bit of mean girl thrown in. It was a fun read and I thoroughly enjoyed
it.
There are a lot of wonderful
questions left unanswered at the end of the book, but no cliff-hanger. This is the first book that I have read from
Laura Greenwood, but I’m going to be grabbing up as many as I can tout suite!
