This is the first part in a novella released in six episodes.  They do need to be read in order.
Jessica has been out of work for four months.  The man she loved left her six months ago.  The bills are piling up, her heart is broken, there are no job prospects in her hometown, and she fears she may soon have to move back home.  Can you say despair, depression, and doubt?  While in Philadelphia for a job fair, she meets a sharply-dressed man, and gives in to her own desires to be with him for one night.
While this is a very short story, it is also a good introduction to the main characters of this series and a great background to our two central characters meeting.  I am in love with Jessica.  I could feel her desperation in love and finances overwhelming her and the beautiful release that submission provides for her.  Watching her grow in this relationship should be very arousing and edifying.
This is the first book I have read from Ms. Carew.  I’m looking forward to catching the rest of this series (all are available).
