This is a nice quick primer for your
new puppy. I suggest reading and
rereading several times in preparation before you bring your new bundle of
energy home. The techniques of positive
reinforcement (versus dominance) require patience that will pay off in a
happier dog, a happier (quieter and cleaner) home, and a happier you.
Though I found the chapter set-up a
bit repetitive and found myself skimming over the end-of-chapter summaries, the
information provided is solid and well worth the time invested in reading this book. When implemented, the advice is sound.
I recommend this book as an
excellent puppy primer.
