This book is an excellent primer for
how to use clicker training in conjunction with crate training or without the
crate for a dog that is past the puppy stages.
I liked how the author gave clear and simple instructions for each of
the basic skills and then for some more advanced tricks. I like the author’s philosophies of positive
reinforcement versus dominance.
These are basic tricks… not SMART tricks. Still, I want my dog to know these skills and
they are important.
I will be keeping this book handy
along with the companion book RAISING THE PERFECT PUPPY… when the time comes.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC
via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.
