Description from the publisher:
Eli Carter is a smart (yet strange)
guy trapped in a dead-end career.
When he meets smooth-talking Khan Hart, a self-proclaimed necromancer, he's given the opportunity to become a hero.
As soon as he takes the job working for Ghost Hackers, Eli's life takes a turn for the paranormal. For starters, something under his bed is trying to kill him.
Now Eli must team up with Khan, face down his fears, and kick the butt of one very strange ghost.

THE CAT WHO WENT BUMP IN THE NIGHT is the first book in the Eli Carter and the Ghost Hackers series. While each story will stand on its own, this book sets the tone for the series and should be read first.
And now for something completely
different… Do not expect this to be anything like the Wisteria Witches series
or any other witch cozy you have ever read.
No witches have been met yet (maybe in later books?), but there are
zombies, ghosts, and ghost busters!
I have many questions. There are suggestions about where Eli came
from, but what is the rest of the story?
Will we ever know? Does his past
life have anything to do with why he works well with the Ghost Hackers? Why does he hang on to Brenda? She seems like a mean girl and who wants that
for a girlfriend? She doesn’t seem to
like him until the last chapter. Is that
a set up for later books? See,
questions! Ugh!
Once I set expectations aside and
opened myself up to what I was reading instead of assuming I knew, I really did
enjoy this story. I would recommend it
to anyone who enjoyed the movies Ghost Busters or Stand by Me (among others). It has that teenage boy vibe, if you know
what I mean.
I’m looking forward to more Ghost
Hacking with Eli, Khan, and Valentine.
