INTERVIEW WITH A GHOST is the first
book in the Restless Spirits series. The
books in this series are stand-alones and can be read in any order.
Piper is a “poor little rich
girl.” She’s well loved, but has also
had good reason to seek the assistance of a therapist. Nope, I’m not telling you why. You need to read/listen and learn why I love
this girl and her friends, especially her little dog. She’s not chosen a career; she’s alone in a
mansion. She has a good heart; she’s
just directionless.
The fun and frustration begins when
Piper is able to see the ghost of her favorite author, George Morrison, after
finding his body. Ready or not, she’s
been commissioned by him to a career in solving his murder!
I liked that this was a clean
read. If I had young people still in the
house, I wouldn’t be ashamed to listen to this one with them. In fact, it would be fun to get them involved
in playing who-done-it games.
There were a lot of laugh out loud
moments and the end of the mystery as well as the end of the book were very
satisfying. The whole story was
entertaining, fun, and easy to read.
I would love to listen to more of
this series!
Narration: The narrator is
perfect. Marie Hoffman, besides having a
wonderful name (very close to my real name) has a beautiful voice that she has
obviously worked to deliver an enjoyable performance. Her delivery was never flat or boring and
added another layer to the author’s work, as it should.
Note: while I was given this book as a gifted
audiobook copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.
