This is the second book in the Prescott series.  They will each stand alone, but I still encourage readers to always read the series in the order released.  Drake and Lucy’s story does continue in this book as the family welcomes Beverly.

The sweetest HEA I have read in a long time.

Joanne Schwehm continues to be one of my favorite authors.   When it comes to her stories, I found myself reading instead of sleeping.  Even though I’m on medication that put me to sleep in the middle, I woke up and started reading again.  It’s now 2am and I can only say, “It was totally worth it once again!”

I could not put this book down.  This was a complete swoon.  I am toes to head in love with Kelli and Chase.  Kelli’s BFF, Sadie, is the perfect supporting player with a heart of gold.  For a bunch of rich kids with trust funds, they are the kind of friends everyone would love to have.

Unlike many NA books, there is no hot, sweaty, steamy sex.  Instead, this is a story of discovering first love with all of the butterflies in the stomach, will he/won’t he, do I want him to drama.  It was also downright hilarious.  Ms. Mae has produced a refreshing, unique love story.

I wish I hadn’t read this book, just so I could discover it all over again!

I read this book in one afternoon and loved it.  When I got to the last word, I screamed, “NOOOOO!”  My husband chuckled and said, “You know it’s a good book when…..”  His pithy remark does not mitigate my need to know what happens next!  Luckily, this is the Prequel and I can now add the next four books to my wish list on Amazon (also known, in my house, as the “Bribe Mom List.”)

Aileen (Leeny) Moon is finally old enough to begin training as a witch.  On her first night out with her mother to begin that training, they encounter a vampire.  After watching her mother stake the vampire, Leeny has doubts that she can follow in her mother’s footsteps.  This causes turmoil between herself and her sister, because the sister, Colleen (Colly), wants desperately to be old enough to begin her own training.

This book is very well written.  I was completely sucked-in to the zone, so much so that I didn’t hear a word of the Shark Week shows that hubby was watching while I was reading.  I truly look forward to reading more of this series and more from this author.
