This is the first book in the Single
Wide Female: The Bucket List series.
They do need to be read in order.
Sammy has lost about seventy pounds
and is now about 180. (That means she
and I started at about the same place. I am not to 70 lbs, lost yet, but I’m
working on it.) Before she lost the
weight, she wrote a bucket list of sorts for when she was ready to take back
her life. The first item, after losing
weight, is “learn to pole dance.” What
else will she learn?
I love Sammy’s best friend,
Max. He loves her no matter her
weight. I think we’ll find out he loves
her, period. Sammy is fun, quirky, and
sweet. She’ll call BS on a friend, or
herself, equally as needed. I really
like that about her.
This is a short story (approx. 44
pages), as is each of the other stories in this series. I kind-of like the serial format. It reminds me of old serial TV where each
week was a continuation of a story. I’d
love to read the rest of this series!
