STOLEN is a stand-alone, romantic
suspense.
I have read other books from this
author, under another pseudonym (here and here) and
loved them. When invited, I knew I could
not pass up an opportunity to read again.
Mixing family and business is like
trying to walk on two roads at the same time.
Jimmy chose his road ten years ago, but he has returned and is wondering
if his feet are on the both on the right side of the street.
Mel is blindingly loyal to her
friend Harriet. So much so that I wanted
to scream at her repeatedly, like watching an old slasher movie and wanting to
warn the ditzy blonde not to go into the barn alone.
The story was complex and yet
sweet. I didn’t doubt who was good or
who was evil. It was just a matter of
how it would end. Mini-spoiler: the ending was spectacular, hehehe!
