Samantha Holt never fails in
bringing a good story to life. KNIGHT’S
CAPTIVE is no different. A beautiful
love story set in the midst of a time of English and Spanish turbulence, The
Anglo-Spanish War (1585-1604). It was
endearing to see Antonia and Henry change.
Antonia has a past that makes trust an issue, but Henry’s honor and
gentleness build something that cannot be denied despite their
differences.
This is one of those books that I call
an easy read. It’s not that there is no
conflict. There is plenty of that. Though there was smothering terror felt in
the first few chapters, after that the conflicts were more quickly brought to
bay and I could just relax and enjoy the burgeoning relationship.
I loved this story from beginning
conflict until the last pages of acceptance and peace.
I hope I never miss another story
