GIVE UP THE GHOST is the fifteenth book in the Southern Ghost Humor Mystery series.  While each will stand on its own, please read them all and in order for maximum enjoyment.
 
Are you old enough to remember the old Clairol commercials that asked “Does she or doesn’t she (dye her hair)?  Only her hairdresser knows for sure.”  Well, Erma Sue kept a burn book, that became her blackmail file, and it went to the grave (aka the time capsule under the high school football field) with her. 
 
Now, Erma Sue’s daughter Twyla Sue has claimed her mother’s book and some residents of Sugarland are not happy about having their secrets known again.  When Twyla Sue is found dead, Verity, along with Frankie and Lucy the loveable skunk, have to prove innocent the one person they’d rather let eat her own crow.  However, she’d do anything for her honey, Sheriff Ellis Wydell.
 
I absolutely love this series.  The characters are engaging, and the stories always capture my imagination.
