Description from the publisher:
A cold front was moving in and a
slight chill moved through me. Knowing
how he felt about me, I knew he would do anything to keep me safe. Committing murder wasn’t beneath him and it
was dangerous for me to think that he could be involved in Amber’s death.
I was trapped in a dark place, scared with nothing to eat; barely breathing. I missed the man I could no long remember but knew existed long ago. The promise of rescue keeps me from losing what's left of my mind.
I loved him, believing he loved me too but time had passed, my memories scattered, almost non-existent. I longed for a closeness, to be with him; then realized I don't even know who he is.

This is the second book in the
Fixers series. They are not stand-alone
and need to be read in order. If you
have not yet read DECEPTION, stop now and go to that book.
Danger continues to stalk Brooke and
attacks her sister, Stephanie. Dylan
will do anything to keep her safe and now has extended his protection to her
mother and sister after the attack. When
Brooke is kidnapped, Dylan and his team will stop at nothing to return her to
hearth and home.
I
am enjoying this trilogy. We continue to have problems with rushing the
story, though it is better in this second book. Also, I never did figure
out why this book was called 'promiscuous.' Nobody in this book is overly
promiscuous by choice. The suspense kept me turning the page again and
again. Brooke’s ordeal after her kidnapping is heart-wrenching.
There were many surprises that I will not believe you if you said you guessed
any of them.
The final book in this trilogy will
be published in late Feb/early March. I
am looking forward to the conclusion of this series.
The Fixer Series:
- Deception
- Promiscuous
- Redemption
