series. They will need to be read in the
order of release.
This is the first book I have read
from Emily Murdoch. I like her style!
I enjoyed the sweetness of this
book. Times are not easy in 1840, middle
of nowhere, Texas, but Elizabeth and Jonathan both love the apple orchard, their
families, and the Lord. They have
realized the most important portions of life can be fleeting, but worth the
effort. That’s what I took away from
this story.
Though this is a complete story
about Jonathan and Elizabeth, there are many unanswered questions at the end
that make me hope to read the other books in this series. I love Sweet Grove already and it is
wonderful learning about her past.
