Things are heating up between Sam and her vampire boyfriend Adam. Brought together by a chance encounter, they now walk a fine line between the human world and the preternatural. All the while, her strange gift is growing stronger. But as Sam tries to embrace her dreams in order to solve her case, her powers begin to show her visions she doesn’t want to see…visions about Adam.

Ghosts from his past…
Samantha is confident she can find the girl, fend off a stalker, and maybe even stop a turf war…until the unthinkable happens. Adam has disappeared and Samantha finds herself the target of a powerful and vengeful adversary.

Will Sam find Adam before it’s too late—or will she lose him forever?

RED MOON is the second book in the Vampire Files trilogy.  They do need to be read in the order of release.

The second book was even better than the first.  To tell you what I liked the most would be a huge spoiler.  Let’s just say there was a uniqueness to the whodunit.

There is a great cast of main and supporting characters, all of whom play vital parts, even when their part is small.

Ms. Close has built her own world of paranormal creatures and their rules.  One of them may be Sam.  What is she?  What does it mean for her future?

I love that Sam is strong, even when she is questioning her own strength and decisions.  I love that all of her friends, new and old, are so loyal and dependable.  It’s how I want to see the people in my life.

At the end, there was just one important question… I only hope book three picks up with the answer!

Note:  while I was given this book as a gifted copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

The Vampire Files series:
  1. Red Night
  2. Red Moon
  3. Red Dream
