This is the first in a series and
they do need to be read in order.
Char, not Charlie, not
Charlene… Char is focused on her career
and still smarting over an ex (asshat).
Riley is new to town and looking for a new start in his career and his
life. They keep bumping into each other
in odd ways, laughing it off until the sparks begin.
The prologue is at the beginning of
the book. How's that for unusual. We know that "they" are riding off
into the sunset, but who are they? How
did they get to that point?
I loved the characters and the sweet
story in this book. The dual points of
view made it interesting. Each change in
POV, Ms. Snyder would backtrack just a hair and I liked it. The points she chose to reiterate from the
opposite POV were well planned and executed.
The dialogue is a bit wooden and the editing leaves a lot to be
desired. That said, the negatives are
worth enduring for the positives. Riley
is a sweetheart who will slay any dragon for his Char. This is just the kind of quick-read sweet
romance that warms me and makes me smile.
