What to say without giving too much away… Evan Dorsey has known great loss in his life and has built walls around himself to avoid the pain of losing anyone else. Sierra Stratton meets him at the wedding of mutual friends and the rest should be your typical love story. Nothing is typical when it comes to this love story.

I loved the mix of love story with a proper crime mystery. Ms. Thomas has nailed down a winner in this. The components that touched me the deepest I can’t say without giving spoilers, but I will say that this is a must read for anyone who has ever loved or wants to love. This is the first of Ms. Thomas’ books that I have read. I can guarantee it won’t be the last.

I was able to recently meet Ms. Thomas when she was a guest on a panel discussing the New Adult category of books, as we live in the same area of the country. She is a charming woman with an insightful position as one of the pioneering authors of this developing category. I look forward to more from her.
